Paintsville resident, Edna Mae Jayne, 83, died November 22 in Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center. She was born October 28, 1903, in Johnson County the daughter of Tobe "Jack" and Spicy Tackett McKenzie. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Her husband, Jesse Jayne, preceded her in death in December 1966. Surviving are one son, Melvin Jayne of Vingrove, KY; two daughters, Lillian Mahan, of Staffordsville, and Pauline Adams of Paintsville, one brother, Francis McKenzie of Sitka; two sisters, Alka Murray of Paintsville and Donna Salyer of Kerz, KY; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, November 24 in Staffordsville, November 24 in Staffordsville Freewill Baptist church with Revs. Norman "Payday" Roberts and Norman Eugene Roberts officiating. Burial was in the Jayne Cemetery at Staffordsville. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, November 26, 1986.
