L.W. Miller, 69, Died At Hospital Early This Morning

Lafayette William Miller, 69, of Kings Mountain, Route 2, died at Kings Mountain Hospital at 5 am today following ill health of several years.

He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Miller and was a member of the First Wesleyan Methodist Church of Kings Mountain.

Mr. Miller was a former employee of Margrace Mill, one of the Neisler Mills, until retirement four or five years ago. He was a native of Greenville County, S.C., but had lived in Kings Mountain 30 years.

Funeral services will be conducted at First Wesleyan Methodist Church Thursday at 4 pm. The body will be carried to the church at 3 pm to lie in state until time for the services. The Rev. A.J. Argo will officiate and will be assisted by the Rev. J.W. Phillips and the Rev. M.C. Connor. Interment will be Mountain Rest Cemetery.

Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hester Veal Miller; two brothers, John Miller of Kings Mountain and Sam Miller of Greenville, S.C.; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Sullivan of New York, N.Y.
