Mr. and Mrs. Smith moved to Unity from Belfast about four years ago. She had taught in the village grade school for the past two years and taught a Sunday School class at Unity Union Church.
Surviving are her husband, Montcena Smith; sons Clayton and Melvin of Unity; her parents; three sisters, Ethel and Edith Hemphill of Thorndike, and Mrs. Thelma Whitehouse of Unity.
Services were held at the Thorndike Church at 2 o'clock Sunday. Rev. Walter Towle officiated. Interment was in the family lot in the Pond Cemetery in Unity. Bearers were Emery Nutter, Edgar Cole, Harold Parkhurst and Maynard Stevens.
