Source; Newspaper obituary: Arthur W. Cox, died at his home on Monday, March 28, 1989. He was 70 years old. He was born to Frank and Geneva Cox, on October 13, 1918, at Jefferson City Iowa. He lived in Iowa in his early years and later moved to Wisconsin. He served in the US. Army, from February 10, 1941, until October 21, 1941. He was united in marriage to Margaret Peck, on December 20, 1946, at Pine City Minnesota. They lived in Coon Rapids and in 1960 moved to Ceder, and in 1963 to Rural Ogilvie, where they had lived since. He worked at several jobs, including Milk hauler, Garbage hauler, and Mechanic. He was a man who believed in God and lived this belief until the end.
When he found out he was dying of cancer he had two wishes. One was that he would be able to have all his children and friends near him, and second, that he would be able to die peacefully at home. And God granted him both wishes. He was a man with compassion for everyone he met throughout his life. His wife, children and friends were all included in this circle.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, Children; Mrs. Bob (Pearl) Dorsey, of Illinois, Richard of Wisconsin, Lorne of Ohio, Steven of Stillwater, David of California, Mrs. Shawn (Shirley) Anderson of Ogilvie, Diane Molin of Ogilvie, Mary Palmer of Champlin, and Kelly Cox of Ogilvie, one brother, Darvin of Illinois, Sisters Velma Anderson of Washington, Ethel Lunsmann of Arizona, Ruth Smith of Illinois, Rena Kempon of Illinois, and Helen Johnson of Wisconsin, 32 grandchildren 10 Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 1, 1989, at the Church of the Nazarene of Mora Minnesota, Rev. Mel Patrick officiated. Pallbearers were Arnie Johnson, Eric Krieger, Jim Krieger, Kenney Unger, Lonnie Linder, and Lawrence Bremer. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery at Mora Minnesota.
