Died-At his home in Gonzales on Tuesday, January 5, 1892, at 8 o'clock p.m. James R. Chenault aged 46 years, 7 months and 17days.
His remains were interred in the Public cemetery yesterday evening at 4 o'clock. Mr. Chenault was taken with lagrippe last Friday while in the county, and not being able to ride owing to the pain, he walked home, producing sciatic rheumatism and spinal meningitis. A host of friends mourn with the family over their sad loss.
