EFFIE RUNYON PASSES AWAY - Obituary
. Mrs. Effie Runyon, 65, a resident of the Calhoun community passed away this morning at the Richland Memorial Hospital following an illness of several weeks.
. Mrs Runyon was born in Clay County the daughter of Chester and Almeda Thomas. She was married to William Runyon. She had been a resident of the Calhoun community for the past several years.
. She leaves nine children: Roscoe Runyon, Richard Runyon and Larry Runyon, all of Olney; Mrs. Elsie Seaton of Catlin, James Runyon of Christman, Donald Runyon of Colorado Springs, Colo., Pauline Ryal of Calhoun, Harry Runyon and Mrs. Helen Harris, both of West Salem. There are several grandchildren. She also leaves the following brothers and sisters: George Thomas, Sr., Harry Thomas, John Thomas, Mrs. Bertha Bailey and Mrs. Beatrice Padgett, all of Olney, Joe Thomas of Centralia, William Thomas of Putnam and Mrs. Elizabeth Arteberry of Tiskilwa. A daughter, Mrs. Ona Seaton and a brother, Noah Thomas have preceded her in death.
. Funeral arrangements are being completed at the Summers-Marshall Funeral Home.
