OBITUARY: Beaver Dam Argus, Thursday, September 19, 1901, page 5.

Frank Karl died at his home in the town of Beaver Dam, Monday, September 16th, 1901, of general debility, aged 51 years, 11 months and 23 days. He was born in Bayern, Germany, Sept. 23, 1849. He came to this country with his parents in 1854, and they settled on a farm in the town of Calamus, where deceased made his home until last fall, when he moved to the town of Beaver Dam. February 22nd, 1876, he married Miss Aukofer. He leaves a wife and twelve children, six sons and six daughters, his aged father and mother, one brother, George, and two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Kolb, and Frances Kohl, to mourn his loss.

The funeral was held from St. Peter's church at 9:30 o'clock, yesterday morning, and was attended by a large concourse of sympathizing friends and neighbors. St. Patrick's Court, Catholic Order of Foresters, of which deceased was an honored member, attending in a body. Burial at St. Peter's cemetery.
