John was naturalized on August 3, 1859 at the Court House in Steubenville, Jefferson Co., Ohio Book B Page 404. On 27January1869 he obtains the house he entered into agreement for ten years earlier.
The last known record for both of them is in the 1870 Federal Census of Green, Twp., Mahoning Co., Ohio where they are listed on the same page (137B) as John and Mary Longbat (not Longbottom) next to Edward Longbat and Jonathan Longbat. Their son John is on page 139A. Mary is last found in the 1880 Census at Washingtonville, Mahoning Co., Ohio Census living as a widow.
