MARY SPETTEL
Miss Mary Spettel, 86, of 515 Jackson St., Oshkosh, formerly of the Town of Schleswig, died Tuesday morning at Mercy Hospital, Oshkosh.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, and 9 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. George Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Miss Spettel was born July 25, 1877, in the Town of Herman, Sheboygan County, daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Spettel. As a young girl, she moved with her parents to the Town of Schleswig. Later she moved to Chicago where she did housework in the suburbs, retiring and moving to Oshkosh in 1957. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Survivors include a brother, Jacob Spettel, of Sheboygan. Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock this Wednesday evening.
