Elmer E. Anhalt, 77 years, of 11319 Highway 32, Kiel, died at his home thismorning. He was born Aug. 14, 1905, in the Town of New Holstein, a son of Charles and Anna (Lauers) Anhalt. He attended schools in New Holstein and St. Anna. On March 24, 1928, he and Norma Mayer were married in Plymouth, and made their home in the Town of Schleswig (Manitowoc Co.).
Mr. Anhalt was employed by Calumet County as a grader operator and retired in 1970. He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Kiel, and served on the church consistory for many years.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Jola) Schwinn of Kohler; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and one sister. He was preceded in death by a daughter, a granddaughter, two brothers and a sister.
