St. Clair - Bertha T. Zimmer Zweng, 85, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 1993. She was born Dec. 22, 1907, in Richmond, and had been a lifelong area resident. She married Joseph R. Zweng, June 20, 1928, in St. Clair. He died in 1978. Mrs. Zweng was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Senior Bowling League. She retired from Diamond Crystal Salt Co. in St. Clair. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Marian and Ralph Johnson of St. Clair, Janice and Lynn Markel of Marine City and Eleanor and Charles Sexauer of Trenton; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two sistesr, Edna Zweng and Grace Currier of St. Clair; a brother, Roy Zimmer of Marysville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leonard and Toni Zweng of Armada; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Margaret and George Pung of Allen Park, Mary Vollick of London, Ontario, Rose Schneider of St. Clair, Christine DeSnyder of Marine City and Mabel Zimmer of Armada. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday in the Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in St. Clair with 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward Ritter will officiate. Her grandsons will be her pallbearers. Visiting is 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Friday. A rosary will be said 7:30 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Building Fund.
