EMIL HARPT

Funeral services will be held at 2:p.m. Tuesday at the St. John's
Lutheran Church, Gibson, for Emil Harpt, 73, who died Saturday
afternoon after a lingering illness at his home in the village of
Mishicot. The body may be viewed at the Specht Funeral Home,
Mishicot, until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when it will be moved to the
church. Rev. Henry Pussehl will officiate at the services with
interment in the Mishicot cemetery.
Emil Harpt was born in 1872 in the town of Gibson. In 1899 he married
Miss Mary Cortes of Two Rivers and they operated the homestead farm
in Gibson until moving to the village of Mishicot 12 years ago.
Survivors are the wife; sons, Harvey on the farm in Gibson, Omar of
Manitowoc and Reuben, a teacher at the Mishicot public school; one
sister, Mrs. Herman Reimer of Gibson; two brothers, Fred and Ernest
of Marinette, and six grandchildren. Another son, Roland, postmaster
at Mishicot for many years, preceded his father in death last October.
Mr. Harpt had been a member of the trustee board of the Mishicot
public cemetery for the past seven years.
