Louise worked as a servant for the family of Judge Ernst Meyer and his wife, Amalie (nee Dinkler) Meyer by 1900. Louise's sister, Emma, was married to Amalie's brother, Carl Dinkler.
Shortly after the turn of the century, Louise moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She worked as a servant for an elderly widower named Henry Luther Whitman, Sr. who sold farm implements.
She married Horace Smith in the 1910's. He was a widower when they married, and worked for a brake company. He later worked as a coupler until his retirement in 1934. The couple never had any children and resided in St. Louis.
At the time of her death due to heart disease, Louise was 87 years, 3 months and 21 days old. She was buried on 02 Jul 1956. She was preceded in death by her husband who died in 1940.
