Charlie was a farmer in Brussels and the family lived in the home where his parents, Frederick and Caroline Kinder, farmed. Charlie and Caroline were the parents of 10 children, including a set of twins.
Caroline and Charlie were members of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Brussels.
Caroline died at her home in Brussels 23 days before her 84th birthday. She was survived by her husband, Charlie, who passed away in 1959.
Other survivors included 5 sons, Paul and Walter of Golden Eagle, Art and Elmer of Brussels, and Carl of Detroit, Michigan; 2 daughters, Emma of Brussels, and Carrie Ruffaner of Worthington, Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by 2 children, Wilhelmene and George, who both died in early childhood.
Caroline was also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother. Like Caroline, 3 of her siblings--Louise, Annie and Louis--also died in 1956.
Visitation was held at the Imming Funeral Home in Brussels. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on 17 Jul 1956 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Brussels.
