Paul died at the Calhoun Comprehensive Care Center after a short illness. At the time of his death, he was 83 years, 1 month and 19 days old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucinda.
Paul was survived by 1 daughter; 2 sons; 8 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Carrie and Emma; 4 brothers, Walter, Carl, Fred and Elmer.
Visitation was held after 4 p.m. on 26 Dec 1977 at Hanks Funeral Home in Brussels. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. the following afternoon at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Brussels. Paul was buried next to his wife, Lucinda, who passed away in 1966.
The family requested that memorials, if desired, be made to the Calhoun Ambulance Fund.
