Harlie Loveless was born on December 16, 1894 in Wapello County, Iowa to George W. and Mytra Marie Potts Loveless. He was the oldest child of eleven children. He lived in Wapello County, Iowa, Ness City, Yates Center and Nonchalanta, Kansas.

On April 17, 1918 he and Helen Agatha Hoss were married in the Great Bend, Kansas Catholic Church.

Harlie was a veteran of WWI. His number was drawn on March 27, 1918 and he left for Camp Funston, Kansas on June 27, 1918. He was sent to France and Harlie returned from France with an honorable discharge.

While he was in France, his daughter Myrta Catherine was born. And when he returned home he took his family to Oklahoma for a visit that lasted the rest of their lives. They first settled on a farm south of Red Rock. And then their son, Harold was born in 1921 and their family was complete.

Helen passed away and he married Elizabeth Chrz Loveless on March 21, 1948 at Perry, Oklahoma. The continued to farm and he worked for the oil company until his health began to fail. They moved into Perry and Harlie passed away on September 26, 1959.

Harlie was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen; his parents; four sisters, Elrean Golay, Vera Loveless, Della Loveless and Opal Chrz; and one brother, Chester.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Ed Brorsen; son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Lorene Loveless; two brothers; Wilbur and Cecil; three sisters, Launa Bass, Zella Aigner and Inabel Crandall; four granddaughters, Doris, Kathy and Karen Brorsen and Pam Loveless; a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Loreene and Junior James; and numerous nieces and nephews and family members.

Harlie was laid to rest at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma.
