MRS. LOUIS WIEGELE (1877-1941)

Emma (Lockard) Wiegle was born June 8, 1877 in the town of Nelson, daughter of William Delance Lockard and Hannah (Best) Lockard. Her early childhood was spent in the town of Nelson and on 20 April 1892, she became the wife of Louis Wiegele. To this union nine children were born. The family resided on a farm in Iron Creek until six years ago, after the death of Mr. Wiegele, when Mrs. Wiegele and children moved to Eddy, MT. She resided at Eddy making a home for her children until the time of her death, March 27. She leaves to mourn her death five daughters, Hannah, Mrs. Carl Peterson, Alma; Mary, Mrs. Clyde Todd, Eddy MT; Emma, Mrs. Rudy Steiner, Alma, Lavina, Mrs. Ernie Mysers, Minneapolis, and Bernice of Eddy; and four boys, Joe, Minneapolis; Otto, Louis and Lester of Eddy. She also leaves ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two sisters,Drusilla, Mrs. Ed Aitken and Permilla, Mrs. Ed Hess, both of Nelson. One brother, Edward, a sister, Jane , Mrs. Archie Moore, and her parents preceded her in death. The body was brought here for burial in the Alma cemetery. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Stohr chapel, Rev. O.V. Hehn officiating. Pallbearers were Rudy Schwarz, John Schamaun, Frank Zirzow, Herman Zirzow, John Maasaen, and John Hartman. Those that attended from a distance were: Mrs. Charles Knutson, Mr & Mrs. Louis Wiegele, Mrs. Clyde Todd, Lester, Otto and Bernice Wiegele, all of Eddy MT; Mr & Mrs. Herman Alitz, Mrs. & Mrs. Paul Brown, Mrs. Alva Patton, all of Eau Claire, Mrs. Chas. Wiegele and son, Leo, of Wabasha, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Wiegele, Mrs. & Mrs. Ernest Myers, Minneapolis, Mrs. & Mrs. Walter Hartman and family of Pepin.
