LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -

Graveside services for Mr. Robert Cornwell McDaniel, formerly of Chester, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. David Sealy officiating.
Mr. McDaniel, 70, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, in Little Rock. Born in Chester on Feb. 12, 1934, he was a son of the late Raymond McDaniel and Evelyn Cornwell McDaniel. A retired animal scientist with the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Little Rock campus, Mr. McDaniel was also a retired livestock specialist with Cooperative Extension Service. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock for over 30 years and retired from the Army Reserves.

Survivors include his wife, Betty McDaniel; a stepdaughter, Dona Bailey of Little Rock; six brothers, Charlie C. McDaniel and his wife, Sylvia, of Mooresville, N.C., Roy McDaniel and Roger McDaniel, both of Carlisle, Harold McDaniel and his wife, Bette, of Kennesaw, Ga., George McDaniel of Tampa, Fla. and Walter McDaniel and his wife,
Judi, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; and two sisters, Margaret Hodge and her husband, Joel, of Sumter, S.C. and Frances Carns and her husband, Danny, of Chester.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 610 Calvary Church Road, Chester or to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University, Little Rock, Ark. 72203. Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, is in charge of arrangments.
