1843 James' Will ...
"4th I give & bequeath to my son James Hougland the North west quarter of the South East quarter of Section No. Thirty five in Township No. five south of Range No. Eight West of the lands sold at Vincennes Ind to be by him possessed & Enjoyed his heirs & assigns forever."

1850 Census is spectacular, yet speculation regarding James' (grand)mother Secela 'Decela' at the age of 75 boarded with the family was the same person, after her 1846 divorce, ?taken to mental institution in Louisville, KY? Boon Twp, Warrick CO, Indiana.
Occasionally, I browsed thru 1042 pages LDS non-indexed film, 1850 Census Eastern Kentucky Cemetery, and found who died on 10 October 1850 in Louisville, Jefferson CO, Kentucky. It wasn't her.

1850 Census was taken beginning on 7th day of September.
