Services for Charles B. Specht Sr. of Montour who died Monday afternoon at the Evangelical Hospital, will be at 2:p.m Thursday at the Pursel- Davis Memorial Chaplel and burial will be at the Albion cemetery.
Mr. Specht was born Nov. 24, 1887, in Marshall County. son of George and Nellie (Roberts) Specht, and spent his entire life in this area except the last 15 years in Tama County. He was married Dec. 1, 1909 in Marshalltown to Rose May Shelton and she died in 1946.
Surviving are four children, They are Mrs. David Adair of Montour, Mrs. Charles Monroe of Rockford Ill.; Mrs Trurman Manship of Charles City, and Charles Specht Jr of Marshalltown.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and one brother Frank, also of Marshalltown.
Mr. Specht was a Mechanical shovel operator by trade and retired in 1952.
