He is survived by his wife; five children, Steve Sykes, Pontiac; Debbie (John) Clardy, Pontiac; Juli Poshard, Pontiac; Bryan (Andrea) Hoggins, Lexington and Shannon (Gabriel) Vincent, Pontiac; 11 grandchildren, Jessi, Amy, Travis, Kylie, Lisa, Jacob, Shiann, James, Haddie, Magda and Jude; four great-grandchildren, Adriann, Audrey, Kasey and Blake and two sisters, Judy Sykes and Sandy Pool, both of Pontiac.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carol Hoggins.
He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
