Dodson – Outler.

Last Sunday evening at sunset Mr. Garland Dodson led to the marriage alter, at the home of the bride's parents, Miss Lila Outler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Outler of this city. Rev. R. W. Oakes spoke the words that made them husband and wife. Miss Clay Draughon played Mendelssohn's Wedding March, and to the easy movement of its melody Mr. Charles Vawter, with the bride's cousin, Miss Outler of Oklahoma City, and Mr. Woodward with the bride's sister, Miss Ersie, marched into the simply decorated parlor crowded with close friends and loved ones, followed by the contracting parties. The manner of the bride and groom, the chosen words of the minister, the music by the pianist in the golden twilight at close of a beautiful Christmas eve Sabbath were impressive of the beauty and blessing of the marriage vow. Garland is a noble, clean, energetic Davis boy, and we believe he will ever strive to keep the heart he was won. Miss Lila is a sweet and modest girl, with every qualification for a loving and helpful wife. The guests were invited to a tasty luncheon, where the couple received hearty congratulations and many nice presents. Here is our hand with best wishes for many years of health and happiness.
