STRICKLAND SERVICES HELD

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Strickland, 73, Oklahoma City, were held Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Hunter Funeral home, Oklahoma City. She died Aug. 5 in an Oklahoma City hospital.

Burial was at Rest Haven cemetery. Rev. N. N. Antonson, former Davis pastor, assisted with the services.

Born Oct. 15, 1888, at Carrell (sic) County, Tex., Mrs. Strickland was a former resident of Davis. She was the widow of Charlie Strickland. She was a member of the Rancho Village Baptist church.

She had been in ill health for several years. Death was attributed to a heart attack suffered a week earlier.

Survivors include one son Carl Johnston, Houston, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Bob Salmon and Mrs. Phillip Trittippo, both of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, one great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Elmer Ridgeway, Oklahoma City; one brother, Floyd Dodson, Honolulu, Hawaii; five step-children, Raymond and Graydon Strickland, Gainesville, Tex., Perman Strickland, Mrs. Willie Warren and Mrs. Bobbie Riddle, all of Davis; several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Perman Strickland of Davis, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Garland Dodson of Davis.

Mr. and Mrs. Perman Strickland, sr., Mrs. Garland Dodson, Mr. and Mrs. Bobbie Riddle, and Mrs. Willie Warren, all of Davis; Clay Griffin of San Diego, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Strickland of Gainesville, Tex., and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Cotton of Pauls Valley attended the funeral.
