Mrs. Jodie Wauls Called By Death

Mrs. Ida May Wauls, wife of Jodie Wauls, died at her home in this city last Thursday evening, Jan. 7, 1926, at 7 o'clock, after only a few hours' illness, her death being caused by uraemic poisoning.

The funeral was held at the Baptist church Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the pastor, Rev. T. H. Carden, conducting the service. Interment in Green Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Wauls was born in Texas May 16, 1884, making her nearly 42 years of age at death. She had lived in and near Davis the past 25 years and was held in high esteem by her many friends. She married Mr. Wauls at Sorghum Flat 21 years ago. Of her ten children, seven survive – Mrs. Josie Sanders, Mrs. Pete Osburn, and five small children at home. She also is survived by three brothers and five sisters, namely: Floyd Dodson of Los Angeles, Will Dodson of Dallas, Garland Dodson of Davis; Mrs. Ludwrick of Waco, Mrs. Ridgeway of Duncan, Mrs. Loyd of Sulphur, and Mrs. Griffin and Mrs. Bud Johnston of Davis.

Mrs. Wauls was a true wife and mother, a good friend and neighbor and fine citizen. She had been a consistent member of the Baptist church since her girlhood.

The relatives have the sincere sympathy of friends in their bereavement.
