Eugene R Konen 44, of 126 Rose Ave., a welder at J. C. Brenner Co., died at 3:40 pm Tuesday at St. Agnes Hospital.
He was born May 28, 1930 at Johnsburg, the son of Albert and Laura Koenigs Konen. He married Marie Freund at St. Peters Catholic Church, St. Peter, on November 17, 1953.
Mr. Konen served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Marys Church and Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his widow; four sons, Peter, Roger, Harold and Aloysius all at home; two daughters, Mary and Theresa both at home; a brother, Harvey of New Holstein; two sisters, Mrs. Dolores Anhalt of New Holstein and Mrs. Evelyn Olig of Fond du Lac; and his mother of Fond du Lac.
He was preceded in death by his father and a son.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Zacherly Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Marys Church. The Rev. Ernest O Dreher will officiate and burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
