Sister Marie de la Salette was born Adeline Keller, the youngest of 11 children born to John and Margaret (Sauer) Keller, near Foxholm, ND, September 30, 1908. She spent her early life in that area and received her high school education at Notre Dame Academy, Willow City, North Dakota, then graduated from Catholic University, Washington, DC.

Sister Marie served as principal at St. Charles school, Oakes, from 1938 until 1941 and principal at St. Cecilia's school, Harvey, 1941-44. Sister Marie came to Oakwood June 20, 1946 and served as superintendent of St. Aloysius Academy since her arrival. She died Sunday, October 26, after an illness of only a few hours.

She is survived by a brother, John Keller, and five sisters, Mrs William C (Mathilda) Bloms, Mrs John C (Margaret) Bloms, Mrs Corneil (Mary) Gruntges, Mrs Herman (Gertrude) Schmitz, and Mrs Leonard (Irene) Backes. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, William and Philip (infant), and two sisters, Elizabeth (infant) and Mrs Edward (Cecelia) Clementich.

Rev. J. L. Bastien was in charge of the service and pallbearers were Neil Gallagher, Ray Lessard, Roman Lessard, Lawrence Gopp, Wilfried Gopp and Francis Gopp. Burial was in Sacred Heart cemetery.
