Raymond Moritz – Raymond “Chiz” Moritz, 61, of 424 North Street, Kiel died Friday at Columbia Hospital, Milwaukee, of head injuries sustained May 2nd in a two car accident in the city of Kiel.


Funeral services for Moritz were held Monday afternoon at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home. Reverend Bliss B. Cartwright, Sheboygan, officiated. Burial was in the Kiel Cemetery.


Born January 16, 1912, in Kiel, a son of the late Anton and Anna Mahlich Moritz, he attended the Kiel Public School. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army.


March 1, 1946, he married the former Mathilda Miklich at Manitowoc. The couple resided in Kiel since their marriage.


Mr. Moritz was a brick layer by trade and was employed by the C & M-D & M Frey Company.


He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Kiel; the Bricklayers Local of Sheboygan; the Manitowoc Tribe No. 49 Improved Order of Red Men and the 24-Hour Club of the lodge, and Tri-County VFW Post 6707.


Survivors are his widow; six daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Pat) Goebel of Kiel, Mrs. Paul (Sandy) Beck of Oshkosh, Mrs. John (Jean) Anhalt of Fort Atkinson, Miss Judy Moritz of Milwaukee, Ann and Janice and a son, John, all at home; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Ninmer, Mrs. Leo Hein and Mrs. William Brieger, all of Kiel; and a brother, Manfred of Kiel.
