She was the former Frances Moritz, born September 12, 1915 in Kiel, daughter of the late Anton and Anna (Mahlich) Moritz.
Frances was a 1933 graduate of Kiel High School.
On September 12, 1938 she married William A. Brieger at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel. Her husband, William preceded her in death on March 17, 1988.
She had previously worked at the former Klaeser's Food Market, the office of Attorney Ray Kuehlthau, Laun Furniture Company and retired from Sohn Mfg.
Frances was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel and the Christian Women's Society. She also was a member of the Kiel VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, playing bingo and needlework.
Survivors include her son, William (Kristine) Brieger, Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Elizabeth (Ryan) Burch, Sheboygan, Matthew Brieger and special friend, Julia Lisowski of Madison, special niece, Margie Hein, Kiel, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, sisters and their spouses, Raymond "Chis" and Tillie Moritz, Manfred "Tucky" and Harriet Moritz, Gertie and Harvey "Fireball" Ninmer, Lyanna and Leo "Tibby" Hein, Ardell Moritz and Lyra Moritz.
The funeral Mass for Frances will be celebrated Friday, April 9, 2010 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel with Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S. and Joe Zenk, Parish Director officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
