Walter C.Brown,63,of Georgia Ave.Ext., was dead pronounced dead on arrival Sunday at Waynesboro Community Hospital.
He was born in Augusta County on April 19,1907,a son of Mrs Fannie McDaniel Brown and the late Robert Samuel Brown.
Mr.Brown formerly attended Blue Ridge Chapel of the Brethren.
In addition to his mother,he is survived by his wife Mrs Ruby Morris Brown;one daughter Mrs.Warren Bryant,three sons,Clarence,Forest,and Clinton Brown,two sisters,Mrs.Agnes Madison and Mrs.Andrew Dudley,four brothers,Earl,Harvey,Reginald and Willard Brown,13 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday at McDow-Tyree Funeral Home,conducted by the Rev.Vernon Berry.
Interment will be in Augusta Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Brown,Clinton Brown,Luther Frazier,Percy Bryant Jr.,Wade Fisher,Thurman Mullan,Joseph Brown and William Toomy.
Honorary Pallbearers will be T.W.Parr,Eamil Brown,Claude Showalter,Alfred Fisher,Earl Blackman,Patrick Kidd,Floyd Dooms,Sterland Garland,Henry Campbell,Claude Steppe,William J.Brown and Timothy Brown.
The Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.Tuesday at the funeral home.
