Mrs Fannie McDaniel Brown,85,died at the home of her daughter-in-law,Mrs.Ruby Brown of Park Station,at 8:15 p.m. Thursday.
She was born May 20,1886 in Albemarle County,a daughter of the Late Taze and Sally Harlow McDaniel.
She was a member of Central Baptist Church and was the last surviving of her immediate family.She was preceded in death by her husband,Robert Samuel Brown,who died 1950.
Survivors include two daughters,Mrs.Agnes Madison and Mrs.Andrew Dudley,both of Waynesboro,four sons,Earl,Brown,Reginald Brown and Willard,all of Waynesboro,and Harvey Brown of Route 3,eleven grand children and a number of nieces and nephews.She was also preceded in death by three sons Walter Brown,Robert Brown and Roy Brown.
A funeral Service will be held at 2;30p.m. Sunday in the Central Baptist Church,conducted by the Rev.Vernon Berry,the Rev. Dee C.Flory and the Rev. Sam Whitfield.
Interment will be in Augusta Memorial Park.The Body will remain at McDow-Tyree Funeral Home until one hour prior to service time.
The Family will receive friends at the funeral from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The family will assemble at the home of her daughter,Mrs.Andrew Dudley at 465 N.Winchester Ave,just prior to service time.
