CHARLES KARSTAEDT

Charles Karsteadt (sic), 67, town of Eaton, died Sunday afternoon at the St. Nicholas hospital in Sheboygan where he had been confined for one week. He had been in failing health for about a year.

He was born in the town of Mosel, Sheboygan county, in 1877, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Karsteadt, Sr. He married Clara Schnell of the town of Eaton in 1904, and she died in 1912.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Herbert Bratz, town of Eaton; one son, Walter, Sheboygan; two grandchildren; and four brothers, Albert, Meeme, Henry, Mosel, Gustave, Sturgeon Bay and Fred, School Hill in the town of Schleswig.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Meiselwitz funeral home in Kiel, the Rev. Charles Ruppert officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Evangelical and Reformed church cemetery at Schleswig.
