Mrs. Hoyte Summerland of Wabash R.R.2 died Friday morning at 12:30 o'clock in the Wabash County hospital following a two weeks' illness of complications.
A life resident of this county, she was born on Sept. 8, 1891 to Grant and Matilda (Amber) Long. Her given name was Marie. She was married on April 29, 1908 in Wabash to Hoyte Summerland.
Surviving besides the husband and the parents are two daughters, Mrs. Everett Scott Jr, of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Hilda Camp, Wabash; three sons, John Summerland, Hoyte Summerland Jr. and Charles Summerland, all of Wabash; and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Walter Hettmansperger, Speicherville, Donald Long, Andrews, Mrs. Clifford Hipskind, Wabash, Mrs. R.P. Whidden, Wabash, Mrs. Hile Miller, Roann, Mrs. Ralph Siler, Wabash, Mrs. Leroy Kramer, Wabash, Mrs. Carl Elbel, Peru, and Kenneth Long and Robert Long, both of Wabash.
Mrs. Summerland was a member of the First Methodist church.
The body was taken to the Jones Funeral home where friends may call. Funeral services will be conducted in the Jones Funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Dr. O.T. Martin, pastor of the First Methodist chruch, officiating. Burial will be in Falls cemetery.
