Donald R. Long, 84, Fort Wayne, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1982, in Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born in Wabash County Feb. 24, 1898, the son of Grant and Tillie Amber Long. He retired in 1966 from Phelps Dodge Company in Fort Wayne. Mr. Long was a member of the North Christian Church in Fort Wayne.
He is survived by his wife, Lola; a son, Harold, Fort Wayne; two brothers, Kenneth of North Manchester and Robert of Wabash; five sisters, Ethel Miller, Ferrie Brinford and Grace Elbel, all of Peru, and Mildred Kramer and Peg Miller, both of Wabash; and one grandson.
Services were at 11 a.m. today at the D.O McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, the Rev. David McCracken officiating. Burial was in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Allen County Heart Association.
