Wife of W. B. Newman and daughter of Daniel and Sarah Jones Allen. A native of North Carolina. She died on the morning of Nov. 28, 1933, at her home in Welford, SC, after a two week illness. Surviving were her husband, children; Lee, George, Charlie, Raymond, and James Newman, Mrs. Tom Page, Mrs. Clarence Gowan, Mrs. and Mrs. W. H. Foster, two brothers; William, and James Allen, two sisters; Mrs. E. C. Ross, and Mrs. C. W. Young, and 23 grandchildren. She was 72 years of age at her death.
