Arlie T. "Happy Jack" Gower, 71, air conditioner and refrigeration repairman, died Saturday at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with burial in Center Hill Cemetery.
He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and an amateur musician who performed as "Smilin Red."
Gower, the husband of Marie Turpen Gower, also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Theresa Spraggins of Jackson; four sons, Kenneth Gower and Tommy Gower, both of Jackson, Ricky Gower of Hot Springs, AR, and Bobby Gower of Jackson, MS; two sisters, Mrs. Tinnie Pearce and Mrs. Rancie Bridges, both of Jackson; two brothers, Lib Gower of Leland, MS, and J. W. Gower of Hot Springs; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
