He was born July 13, 1914 in Charlesburg, a son of the late Joseph and Regina Kolbe Muellenbach.
His marriage to Bertilla Daun took place September 24, 1941 in St. Charles Church. The couple farmed in the town of Brothertown until retirement in 1976.
He was a member of St. Charles Catholic church in Charlesburg, the Holy Name society and the Chilton Eagles 1228.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Allen (Marilyn ) Betz of Wausau; three sons, Ronald of Stockbridge, David of Appleton, and Dale of Charlesburg; 11 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Veronica Karls of New Holstein, Mary Muellenbach of Charlesburg, Mrs. John (Leona) Karls and Martha Geiser, both of Chilton; and a brother, Frank Muellenbach of Charlesburg.
One daughter preceded him in death.
The funeral Mass was at St. Charles Catholic Church. The Rev. David Christel, pastor, officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
