Born in the town of Brothertown, Calumet County on April 9, 1909, a daughter of Joseph and Revena Kolbe Muellenbach, she attended Schools there. She married Edward Karls on May 5, 1931 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg.
She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Mary’s Church in Marytown and the St. Mary’s Mission Society in Chilton.
Surviving are her husband; six sons, Bernard and Roman, both of Green Bay, Joseph of Johnsburg, Robert of New Holstein, Ervin of St. peter and George of Marytown; two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Ruth) Koenig, Plymouth, and Mrs. Ronald (Joan) Sabel, Marytown; 21, grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Muellenbach of Charlesburg, Mrs. John (Leona) Karls and Mrs. Clarence (Martha) Geiser, both of Chilton.
A granddaughter and a brother preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, New Holstein, with the Rev. Ralph Hermsen, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
