Rites Held Tuesday For Gilbert Wendel
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Charles Catholic church in Charlesburg for Gilbert Wendell, 53, who died at St. Nicholas hopital Saturday.

Wendell was visiting at the Matt Werdeo home Thursday when he suffered a stroke. He was a brother of Mrs. Werdeo's.

He was born in Charlesburg in 1901, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wendel, and married Miss Nina Laiten of Milwaukee in 1932. The past 20 years he had been employed at the Lakeside Bridge Co. in Milwaukee.

Surviving are his wife: three brothers, Charles of New Holstein, Claude of Fond du Lac and Herman of Minneapolis; four sisters, Mrs. Anton Becker and Mrs. Matt Werdeo of Kiel, Mrs. Ray Becker of Milwaukee and Mrs. Melvin Klapperich of Marytown. Rites Held Tuesday For Gilbert Wendel.
