Carl F Schmidt, 61, a farmer and a life long resident of Allen County, died at 6;10 pm yesterday in the Lutheran Hospital where he was admitted Oct 14. He lived on RR5 and had been ill for a year.
Mr Schmidt was a veteran of World War I and belonged to Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church and its Men's Club.
Surviving are his wife, Helen; three children, Paul Schmidt, Carl F Schmidt Jr and Mrs Leona Bradtmiller, all of RR5; two brothers, August Schmidt of pleasant Township and Christ Schmidt of Washington Township and three sisters, Mrs Emma Moore, Mrs August Witte and Mrs Emelia Mertens all of Fort Wayne.
