"Mabel Ivene Neal Johnson, 96, longtime Bozeman resident, died in Bozeman Wednesday.

Mrs. Johnson was born Aug 14, 1889, at Fairfax, MO, the daughter of James and Sarah Neal. She attended Fairfax schools. On Sept. 7, 1909, she married John C. Johnson in Rockford, MO. She was a member of the Neighbors of Woodcraft. One of her interests was sewing. She had lived in Bozeman for 75 years.



Survivors include 3 sons, Cecil of Bozeman, Bill of St. George, Utah, and Lee of Ogden, UT; 7 daughters, Mrs. Ed (Lucile) House and Mrs. Betty Collins, both of Bremerton, WA, Altha Johnson, Mrs. Ray (Darlene) Quist and Mrs. Neal (Juanita) Ross, all of Bozeman, Mrs. Charles (Lannis) Hodge and Mrs. Beth Dorsey, both of Manhattan. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.



She was the last member of the Neal family, being preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. She was also preceded in death by her husband; 2 sons, Archie Johnson and Elery Orlin Johnson, and one daughter, Helen Norma Jean Johnson. Funeral services will be held at the Dahl Funeral Chapel 10:30 AM, Sat. Burial will be at the Sunset Hills Cemetery."
