RUDOLPH IBE

Rudolph A. Ibe, 83, of Rt. 1, Kiel, a retired Town of Eaton farmer, died late Saturday afternoon at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein. The Rev. Albert K Burns will officiate with burial in Eaton Cemetery.

Mr. Ibe was born Jan. 6, 1894, in the Town of Schleswig, son of the late Charles and Pauline Quante Ibe. He attended district school in the area and was inducted in the U.S. Army in July of 1918, serving in France and Germany, and was discharged in June of 1919.

He married Lucy Lechler June 19, 1919, at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Town of Schleswig. The couple operated a farm in the Town of Eaton. Mrs. Ibe preceded him in death Aug. 7, 1968. Mr. Ibe was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and American Legion Kasper-Bechley-Willkens Post No. 99 of Kiel.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Christ (Margie) Christopherson, of Rt. 1, Kiel; two brothers, Henry, of Sheboygan and Louis, of Rt. 1, Kiel, two grandsons and two great grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister
preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, after 3 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday and at the church from noon until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ.
