Paul E. Amos Sr.
WHITERIVER ~ Paul E. Amos Sr., 88, a retired forestry employee of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, died Nov. 7, 1984, at Tanner Chapel Manor Nursing Home in Phoenix.
Mr. Amos was born at the Cooley Ranch near Honda, Ariz., and was a lifelong resident of the Whiteriver area. He was employed with the BIA for 37 years and was a member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe.
Survivors include his wife, Merintha; daughters, Gertrude Ellison and Delta Brewer; sons, George, Melvin, Bill and Paul Jr.; a sister and a brother; 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Whiteriver Cemetery. Owens Mortuary, Show Low, made arrangements.
