GEORGE F. BURTON
George F. Burton, 89, of 35A Revere St., died at the Birchwood Nursing Home, Derry, after a long illness.
He was born in Pelham Dec. 15, 1897 a son of the late Fred and Harriett (Spalding) Burton. He attended schools in Pelham. He had been a Nashua resident for more than 40 years.
He has been employed for several years with the Hartford Poultry Farm and later worked at Bailey's Greenhouses.
He was a member of the Arlington Street United Methodist Church and was a charter member of its Men's Club.
He also held membership in the American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene (Brown) Burton of Nashua; a stepson, Harold Mooney of Pelham; a granddaughter, Linda Vagzue of Brockton, Mass.; two grandsons, Garry and Robert Zedalis, both of Canton, Mass; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Mabel Bedore of Nashua; and several nephew and nieces.
The Farwell Funeral Service is charge of arrangements.
