Betty Joe Caperton Sadler, was born to Vera Starnes and Andrew Jackson Caperton on April 21, 1928. She married William Roscoe Sadler Jr. on August 13, 1946. She was the devoted mother of four children: Donald Wayne and Charles Andrew "Nub", who preceded her in death, and Linda Gayle and William Robert "Bob" Sadler. She was a life long resident of Greenwood, a homemaker, and a member of the First Baptist Church.

OBITUARY FOR Betty Joe Sadler - McConnell Funeral Home, Greenwood Arkansas:

Betty Sadler, 82, of Greenwood, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 in her home. She was a homemaker, a member of the Greenwood First Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Sadler and two sons, Donald Wayne Sadler and Charles "Nub" Sadler.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Wilkinson and husband, Jerry of New Boston, Texas; one son, Bob Sadler and wife, Debbie of Greenwood; one daughter-in-law, Becky Sadler of Claremore, Oklahoma; one brother, B.J. Caperton of Fort Smith, six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 23 at the Greenwood First Baptist Church, with burial at Cross Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.

Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22 at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Kevin McDonald, Clint McDonald, Wes Sadler, Chad Sadler, Shane Sadler and Ryan Sadler. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Cross Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 751, Greenwood, AR 72936.
