Mrs. Vena V. Ogburn, 78, 1543 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, died Friday morning at the Gettysburg Hospital.

Born at White Hall, Va, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Martha Entricken Thompson.

Her husband, the late Ray E. Ogburn, died in 1982.

She was a member of the Gettysburg Church of the Brethren and was very active in church activities.

Surviving are four sons, Charles #. Ogburn, 1543 Biglerville Road; the Rev. Howard Ogburn, Nigeria, Africa; James M. Ogburn, Hyattsville; and Donald R. Ogburn, Lanham, Md; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Carl V. Thompson, Gettysburg; a sister Winona T. Rosander, St. Petersburg, Fla; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg with her pastor, the Rev. Floyd H. Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in Upper Marsh Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
