Clara Dennett Dies at 88
Clara Ann Dennett, 88, 2100 Ohio, died Sunday at the Augusta Medical Complex.

Her service was 11 a.m. today at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Bacon, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiated and burial was in the Seltzer Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with the Walnut Valley Nursing Home.

She was born Aug 14, 1894 in Rose Hill to Andrew and Phoebe Branson Lackey.

She married Joe Henry Dennett Feb. 21, 1916 in El Dorado. He preceded her in death in 1959.

This homemaker leaves a son, Edwin Dennett of Augusta; two daughters, Thelma Armstrong of Denver, Colo., and Eva Burnham of Port Townsend, Wash.; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Two brothers preceded her in death.
