Elba E. Dixon aged 66 died Wednesday in the home of his sister,Mrs.E. Bolin west of Decatur. He had been in failing health for more than a year but apparently improving and he was discharged from the hospital in April. On Tuesday morning he suffered a stroke of paralysis and remained unconscious from that time until his death.
He was born on April 23,1858 in Hinton county,Ohio. He came to Illinois in 1875 and passed most of his life since that time in Douglas county near Tuscola. During the last 11 years he was engaged in truck farming in the vicinity of Decatur. He was a member of M.W.A. Camp,144 and the Court of Honor.
Surviving are son Edgar H. of Milmine,Mother Mrs.Augustine Dixon of Decatur, four brothers S.W.of Chicago,Sam of Plattsburg,N. Y.,Dr. W.A.,and Charles of Decatur,sisters,Mrs.Ella Yantis,Houston,Tex,Mrs.E.Bolin,Mrs.Della Kincaid of Decatur.
