Daughter of Jacob and Magdalena (Snyder) Wendell.

Her ancestors on her Wendell line had been one of the founding families of Albany, New York.

Married John George (Jr.) Walrath in the Freysbush Church, in Minden, Montgomery County on 20 April 1836.

Via wagon in 1847 the family removed to Steuben County.

Ten children were born to them:
