Ross J. Shotwell, 65, retired plaster, died Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at his home in Carrollton, following an illness of two years. Mr. Shotwell was born February 1, 1884, in Dellroy, and had lived in Carrollton for the last 35 years. He was a member of the Dellroy Methodist Church. He was married September 21, 1912, to Erma Cogan, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his widow are six sons, Chalmers of Mineral City, Charles and Raymond at home, John and Joseph of Carrollton, and Harry of Minerva; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Adams and Velma Shotwell at home; one brother, Roy Shotwell of Carrollton, and ten grandchildren. One son, Thomas, and a brother, Loren, preceded him in death. Friends were received at the Allmon Funeral Home in Carrollton, where services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. B. T. Lomas officiating. Burial was in Grandview Cemetery.
