Miss Bertha Fisher, prominent in musical circles of Springfield, and a member of one of the old families of Sangamon county, died yesterday morning at her residence, South Fourth street. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at Thomas C. Smith Sons' funeral chapel. Interment will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
Miss Fisher was a pianist of attainment but in recent years seldom appeared in public. In earlier years she devoted her time to teaching the piano. She was an active member of the Amateur Musical club and a devout member of Westminster Presbyterian church.
Surviving are three sisters, Fannie, Katherine and Laura Fisher of this city; and one brother, Irving Fisher of Waltham, Mass. --IL State Journal, Springfield, IL, 8-10-1933
